GMAT - Verbal Sample Questions

Question #8

8a. Explain why the following sentence might be considered incorrect and rewrite the sentence so it is correct: Jeff and me, go to musicals, all the time and we love them.

8b. There are actually a couple of problems with this particular sentence, which includes the use of the word "me" as a subject and two unnecessary commas. The first problem in the sentence is that the word "me" should be "I" as "me" can only be used as a direct object and in this particular sentence it is being used as a subject. The second problem is that the comma after the word "me" and the comma after the word "musical" are both unnecessary and should be removed from this particular sentence as they actually add a break in the sentence that is not required. As a result, the correct sentence should be "Jeff and I go to musicals all the time and we love them."
